Hospitality in a Local Home

As an international student or scholar currently studying in Lancaster would you like to have the opportunity to visit a Lancashire home and to enjoy the hospitality of some local people?

We have a number of families from local churches in the Lancaster area who are registered with the Friends International Hospitality Programme and are willing to offer a welcome by inviting students into their homes to enjoy a meal together, from time to time. You can practise your English, relax away from campus and learn more about British people and their way of life.

Usually students will go with a friend to visit a host, but if you prefer to go alone then that can be accommodated.

There is no cost involved in taking part. Also the host will usually help with transport home. There is also no obligation to meet more than once, or to visit again to the same family. However many students have established lasting friendships with their hosts and have made several return visits.

Once you return your Application form you will be linked to a Host family as soon as possible. (this may take a few weeks). Your host will then contact you to arrange a first visit.
